Abstract

As digital technology continues to evolve, students increasingly demand academic services that are fast, accessible, and easy to use. One of the emerging solutions to meet this need is the academic chatbot. However, many existing implementations lack thoughtful interface design, leading to a suboptimal user experience. This study aims to design an academic chatbot interface by applying UI/UX design principles using Figma, with the goal of creating a smoother and more enjoyable interaction. The design process involved user needs analysis, interaction flow creation, visual prototyping, and usability testing with students as end users. The results show that consistent design patterns, intuitive navigation, and user-friendly aesthetics contribute significantly to improved comfort and satisfaction when using the chatbot. This interface design is expected to serve as a foundation for more interactive and accessible academic information services in higher education settings.
