Abstract

Stunting, a persistent nutritional issue that obstructs the development of human resources, continues to pose a significant public health concern in Indonesia, especially within the West Java Province. The intricate nature of diverse data coupled with a dependence on static reports often leads to policy measures that are misdirected and ineffective. This study seeks to conduct a descriptive examination of stunting prevalence statistics and to develop a web-based spatial data visualization dashboard to serve as an interactive data exploration tool. The chosen methodology is Descriptive Quantitative, encompassing phases such as Data Pre-processing, Descriptive Analysis (both temporal and spatial), and System Implementation using JavaScript (Leaflet/Mapbox). The findings indicate that the developed visualization dashboard (including Choropleth Map and Time Series Charts) effectively revealed a general decrease in average prevalence from 2019 to 2024, while also uncovering notable regional differences and variations across Regencies and Cities. Importantly, the spatial analysis distinctly highlighted high-risk areas (hotspots), demonstrating its critical role in ensuring accurate allocation of resources and prioritization of interventions. In summary, web-based spatial data visualization offers dynamic, evidence-driven, and practical insights, establishing it as an essential resource for local authorities in crafting more effective and precisely aimed strategies for reducing stunting.
